We come across different types of people with different nature and personality. Some of them would be with Schizotypal Personalities
They are socially uncomfortable and tend to avoid people and relationships. They are sensitive to rejection and tend to withdraw or be indifferent to social situations.
They may experience magical thinking that is characterized by the belief that their actions or thoughts directly affect the outcome of other people’s lives or major events. As a result, they may be afraid of their actions or thoughts cause problems in people’s lives or major events, and they withdraw, into isolation and aloofness. They are also hypersensitive and paranoically (an abnormal tendency to suspect and mistrust others) suspicious.
These individual are viewed by others as odd and peculiar because of their hermit like behaviours, weird (strange/supernatural) beliefs, paranoid suspiciousness, fantasy-oriented (a day dream) thinking, eccentric (odd or capricious in behaviour or appearance) behaviour, and often eccentric, unkempt (untidy, of neglected appearance) appearance.
They may display unusual mannerisms. These types of persons may talk to themselves or display superstitious beliefs, and claim to have special mental or magical powers. Under extreme stress, these individuals may become Psychotic (lose touch with reality) and engage in a behaviour that others around them will consider “crazy”.
Many schizotypal individuals are genetically related to true schizophremics (it is psychotic disorder that causes individuals to be out of touch with reality to a severe degree) which suggests a genetic relationship to the schizotypal personality. Schizotypal behaviour is so extreme that these individuals with these personalities are generally considered to have schizotypal personality disorders.
When somebody behaves like this, we have to counsel him or her without revealing his or her personality disorder. Make them understand that every one needs them no one rejects them.
